Dr Mazwe Majola holds numerous qualifications including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Preston University in USA, a Master of Philosophy (Mphil) in Business Ethics from Pretoria University, a Master of Commerce (Mcom) in Strategy and Organisational Dynamics from University of Natal, Executive Development Program (EDP) from Manchester Business School (Manchester University), Licentiate in Theology (LTH) from George Whitefield College, Bachelor of Theology (Hons) from Potchefstroom University and various Leadership Development Programmes from Local and International Institutions. Mazwe is currently busy with his PHD in Leadership Studies at University of KwaZulu-Natal. His research areas and interests include, Leadership, Strategy, Systems Thinking, Chaos theory and Complexity theory.

Ministry Experience

Dr Mazwe Majola graduated from GWC in 1995 and has been in ministry for the last 15 years. He is the Founding President and Senior Pastor at Rejoice Bible Church. He is an invited guest preacher and speaker for many different churches and organizations both locally and internationally. He conducts seminars for business executives and provides motivational talks for youth and business leaders.

Working Experience

Dr Mazwe is the Managing Director of Umnotho Wamazwe (PTY) LTD. The company specializes in Commodity Trading, Construction Project Management, Research and Strategic Facilitation on Leadership, Strategy, Trade and Development. He was the Executive Director of Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) responsible for Transformation Policy. Before joining Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), he was the Group Manager at Sasol responsible for Stakeholder Relations and Transformation. He is the former Gauteng Provincial Chairperson of the Black Management Forum (BMF). He is the Board member of the Compensation Commission, He is the Board member of the UIF Gauteng Regional Appeals Committee and is also the Founder and Chairperson of Society of Free Thinkers (SOFT). 


Matshepo Majola is currently employed by Absa as the General Manager: Marketing (Insights and Marketing Data Analytics). Her role is responsible for strategically positioning the Absa and Barclays Brands in their relevant markets through the development and implementation of innovative and creative marketing strategies across Africa. Her previous positions include Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at the South African Post Office; Marketing Manager for Nedbank’s Personal Banking business and Direct Marketing Superintendent (Mutual & Federal)

During her tenure at the SA Post, she represented the organisation on the Universal Postal Union’s Direct Advisory Board, a working group fostering the growth of direct mail as a factor of economic and market expansion by increasing market knowledge and by developing the expertise of stakeholders at all levels. She is also sat on the Editorial Board of the Direct Marketing Association of SA and has been part of the judging panel for the Loerie Awards (Direct category) in 2005 and the DMA’s Assegai Awards since 2007.

She has a legal degree from the University of the Western Cape, a Direct Marketing Certificate from IMM, an Executive Development Programme Certificate from GIBS and she holds a Masters degree in Business Leadership (MBL) from Unisa’s School of Business Leadership (SBL)
